geNerAl INFOrMAtION ON INDUctION cOOKINg
the induction principle
Induction cooking involves heat being generated based on electromagnetic
induction technology. This is only the case if a pot or pan with a magnetisable
base is placed on the hob when it is switched on. Only the bottom of the cookware
is heated and not the hob itself. When the induction coil located below the glass
ceramic plate is supplied with electricity, a high-frequency electromagnetic field
is created, which generates a high level of thermal energy that heats up the base
of the pot or pan. The heat is transferred directly to the food, which enables very
fast and efficient cooking with a high degree of thermal efficiency (up to 93%).
