The VC may not be able to give full effect in the following cases:
• Whena photographis taken from a fast movimgvehicle
• Shootingduring the excesive movementof the camera
• TurntheVCswitch
whentakingpictures withthe bulbsettingor duringlong
exposures. If theVCswitch is ON,the VCmechanismmay introduce errors.

•With theVCmechanism, t hereareoccasionsmat the imagein thevlewtitlderblurs right
after the shutter button IS pressed down halfway, but thlS iS not a malfunction.
• Whenthe VCis ON, f ie numberof imagesfecordableis reduceddueto thepowerused
rrom the tamen.
• When the VGiS ON,immediately after the shutter button is pushed halfway down and
approximately 2 seconds after a finger releases tho shutter button, the camera will
"click". This sound is the VC's locking mechanism activating, not a malfunction.
• Turn the VCswtich OFFwhen using tripod.
• After releasing the shutter button, the VCwill continue to operate for about 2 seconds
until the locking mechanism activates.
• When the tens iSremoved from the camera white VCis actiyating, the tensmay make
clicking sound wnen the lens is subjected to a jolt, This is not a malfunction. Re•attachthe
lens to the camera and turn thc power ON,The sound ShouldStop.
• The VCactivates white tha "release" button is pushed halfway down. (it is activated 2
seconds after the shutter button is released)
•VC can be used in AF or MF mode.
