Connecting the receiver

In BEC operation, power is supplied to the receiver
and servos from the drive battery, via the motor con-
troller. With this arrangement a separate receiver bat-
tery is not required.

Installing the receiver

When installing the receiver, follow the instructions
which come with the model. However, the following
points must also always be observed:
1. Do not shorten the receiver aerial. Any reduction in
its length will reduce the effective radio range. The
aerial may, however, be rolled up as illustrated.
2. Electric motors must be suppressed to ensure that
the radio functions correctly.
Before installation, pack the receiver (in foam, for
example) to protect it from vibration. Receivers which
are to be fitted in cars or boats should first be pak-
ked in watertight material.

Please note: After operation, remove the packing
material, so as to prevent the ingress of condensa-
tion, as this would ruin the receiver.

When mounting the servos, make sure that the push-
rods can move freely. Secure the servos as illustra-
ted. (A -> in wood, B -> in plastic / metal).
