Safety information
WARNING! Overloading or dam-
aging the torque wrench can cause seri-
ous injury and/or property damage. Read
and observe all safety notes and instruc-
tions.
• The torque wrench is a testing
device and may only be used
for tightening screw connec-
tions with right-hand threads
by competent persons. Never
use the torque wrench to tighten fasten-
ers with left-hand threads or to loosen
screw connections.
• Operate the torque wrench sev-
eral times before first use and/
or after a long period of non-
use. This ensures even lubrication of
the mechanism. Only then set the de-
sired torque.
• Mechanical, thermal or chem-
ical action, extreme temper-
atures or humidity may dam-
age the torque wrench and/
or affect the triggering accur-
acy. Handle the torque wrench with
care and always store it in the case
provided in a dry, dust-free place.
• Only use torque wrenches that
are in technically perfect con-
dition. Check the torque wrench for
damage before each use. Damaged
torque wrenches must not be used.
• Use the torque wrench only
in the specified torque range.
Overloading or damaging the torque
wrench as a result of improper hand-
ling may affect torque wrench settings
3
and result in recalibration by a special-
ist company at a cost.
• Operate the torque wrench by
hand only. Never subject the torque
wrench to shocks or impacts and never
use an extension or slip-on tool.
