Removing
– Release the screw (27).
– Remove the washer (30).
– Remove the blade (28) carefully.
Installing
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the
device! Ensuring that the installation
position is correct: the arrows and the
part number of the blade (29) must
point away from the device.
– Carefully attach the blade (28).
– Attach the washer (30).
– Tighten the blade using screw (27).
Cleaning the air filter

NOTICE! Risk of damage to the
device! The device should never be
operated without an air filter, as this
may cause damage to the engine.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the
device! Always use original air filters
approved by the manufacturer.
– Switch off the motor and remove the spark
plug connector.

– Open the air filter housing (13).

– Remove the air filter (31).
– Clean all parts of the air filter unit.
– Fit new air filter.
– Re-close the air filter housing (13).
Checking the level of motor oil
► P. 7, item 12
– Pull out the motor oil filling screw (15) and
remove.
– Read off the oil level on the scale on the
underside of the motor oil filling screw.
– The oil stand must be placed between [A]
and [B].
Cleaning/replacing spark plugs
WARNING! Danger of injury from
high voltage! Do not touch the spark
plug connector or the spark plug while
the motor is running.

– Remove spark plug connector (14).

– Unscrew the spark plug (32) using a spark
plug spanner.
– Check the electrode for discoloration.
Standard colour: Light brown
– Check electrode spacing. Correct spac-
ing: 0.7–0.8 mm
Cleaning the spark plug
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the
device! Only use wire brushes with
brass bristles to clean the spark plug.
Any other bristle type will damage the
electrode!
– Remove rust deposits from the electrode
with a wire brush.
Replacing the spark plug
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the
device! Only screw a spark plug into
place when the engine is cold.
– Insert the cleaned or new spark plug and
tighten by hand.
– Tighten the hand-tightened spark plug
using a spark plug wrench by a further
quarter of a turn. Do not turn it further as
this will damage the thread.
– Affix the spark plug connector (14) firmly
back onto the spark plug.
Storage, transportation
Storage
DANGER! Risk of injury! Store the
unit in such a way that it cannot be
started by unauthorised persons.
Ensure that no one is able to hurt
themselves on the stored unit.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the
device! Do not stored unprotected in
a damp environment.
– Clean unit before storing.
– Store the tool in a dry and well ventilated
place.
Transportation
– When dispatching, try to use the original
packaging, if possible.
