Installation
For your own safety switch off mains for the door and the door control unit or other electrical devices/connections
used for the GridScan/LR. Mark clearly that these objects are out of service.
Insert two mounting brackets per edge into the grooves on the
edge. Ensure the drillholes in the mounting bracket are positioned
well past the end of the light curtain edge, to enable the mounting
screws to be inserted (Figure 10).
Insert two long screws per mounting bracket through the side holes
provided and attach the hex nuts on the other side (Figure 10).
In turn, place the GridScan/LR emitter and receiver edge at the
required mounting positions directly across from each other, mark
the position for the drillholes and then drill
Mount the GridScan/LR emitter and receiver edges on the walls
using the screws provided. Feed the earth cable between the screw
and the first washer (Figure 11).
Connect the synchonization cable to the emitter and receiver edges.
Connect the receiver edge to the door controller with the connection
cable.
Important: The GridScan/LR requires a power supply according
to EN 60204 to ensure it functions correctly.
Perform start-up test (Chapter 12).
