The desired moisture in the room is regulated with the regulating knob. The
dehumidification capacity of the air rises as the number increases. This means that
in the case of number 1, a dehumidification capacity of approx. 95% has been
reached (always depending on the surrounding conditions!), if the number is 5,
approx. 35% r.f. can be reached and in the Cont. position (Continuous) the device
dehumidifies without switching off using the humidity switch.
"OFF" means that the hygrometer contact is open and the device is not working.
Attention: if the plug is connected, the electrical components in the device are still
under current.

5. Starting up for the first time

Unpacking the device
The individual parts of the dehumidifier of the DRYTECH series are packed separately
for delivery. The packaging must be removed as follows:
Hold the cardboard box straight. Do NOT turn the packaging upside down (you should
be able to read the label straight). Cut the tape with which the base is attached to the
packaging with scissors or a similar cutting tool and pull the packaging upwards until it
comes off. Now remove the upper transport protection made of polystyrene. Finally lift
the device down from the lower transport protection and place it on the floor. Then
remove the plastic foil covering.
The handle to transport the equipment is enclosed separately at the time of delivery.
Please remove the screws in the two tubes, fix the handle on the ridges meant for the
handle on the device and screw on the tubes using the screws you have taken off.
Switching on for the first time
To switch on the device, it must be standing for at least two hours in a correct, upright
position.
Non-compliance with this rule can damage the compressor forever.
After this waiting period is over, the device can be connected to a 230 Volt./. 50 Hz, 1-
socket. The red control lamp "POWER" lights up. If the control lamp "WORKING" is
switched off, turn the knob on the control panel clockwise until the lamp lights up. The
"Pause" lamp will also light up and the dehumidifier starts working after approximately
five minutes.
