As already mentioned, the dehumidifier functions on the basis of a cooling circuit.
The compressor sucks in the cooling agent (R134a) and presses it into the condenser
(heat exchanger) made of cooper tubing, into which the cooling agent flows and flows
out again from aluminium ribs through the air which is pushed out by the fan.
The gaseous cooling agent flows into the condenser with high pressure. It can
condense in this manner and can easily heat the air which then flows through the heat
exchanger.
The cooling agent flows in a liquid state, under high pressure, from the condenser,
flows through the capillaries, a very narrow small tube, where the liquid is subject to an
intense drop in pressure. After this, the liquid, with a small proportion of vapour, which
as formed through the intense drop in pressure, enters the vaporiser consisting of an
aluminium pipe.
The liquid cooling agent evaporates in the pipe under low pressure, by exchanging and
cooling the heat with the air circulating the pipe and thus cools the aluminium surface.
The air moisture in the room air condenses on this surface. The air is dehumidified.
The gaseous cooling agent under low pressure is sucked in by the compressor and the
cooling cycle re-starts.
