5.1. What to do if the dehumidifier does not turn on or does not dehumidify?
First, make sure that the red control lamp "POWER: is switched on. This ensures that
the device is supplied with electricity, if not, check whether the plug is plugged in
properly and whether the socket is really being supplied with power.
Make sure that the green control lamp "FULL" is off. If this is not the case, check
whether the container is fixed on properly, if necessary take it out and fit it in again
until you hear the clicking of the micro switch. If necessary, empty the container!
Check whether the red control lamp "WORKING" is switched on, which means that the
device is starting up through use of the hygrometer. If the device switches on again
after a pause because the desired air moisture may have been reached or the canister
was emptied and the hygrostat has released operations accordingly, the red light for
"DEFROST: also lights up apart from the central red lamp. In this situation, which lasts
for about 5 minutes, only the fan functions, whereby the compressor stops working.
This cycle is repeated about every 45 minutes so that defrosting of the vaporiser tube
(evaporator) may eventually be possible. If the device is working (the two red lamps in
the middle are on) but does not release any water or only a small amount of water,
check whether the relative room humidity is less than 40-45%.

6. Condensation drain connection

The dehumidifiers of the DRYTECH series can be directly connected to a flexible
connection pipe. In this case, remove the canister and insert the enclosed drain
outlet on the right hand side on the condensation outlet to connect the hose. If
possible, use a silicon hose with a 3/4" hose clip to for the connection. The hose
can be led out through a hole in the base of the device.
A hose can be installed as well directly at the canister, therefore the hose connection at
the canister has to be sliced and an adequate hose has to be put over the connection.
This one can be closed later on with the enclosed plug.
ATTENTION: When using the hose the device does not stop functioning!
