Intended use

Proper use
The multi-target filter cleans drinking water by lowering the concentra-
tion of iron, manganese, ammonium and other organic substances and
reducing water hardness.
As a standalone filter, the product protects the water lines and connected
devices, boilers, and so on; it counteracts calcification and minimises
malfunctions.

Function
2.1
General
The product is a multi-target filter with an integrated regenerative con-
tainer and functions through ion exchange.
2.2
Operation
The product is preset. If a lower power is required, this power can be
set by the after-sales service.
During filter operation, the water flows from top to bottom through the
filter bed. The filter medium consists of five components that succes-
sively reduce the iron, manganese, hardness, ammonium and organic
substances in the drinking water. The filtered water is fed back into the
domestic water line.
When the filter medium is used up, the multi-target filter automatically
starts regeneration.

2.3
Regeneration
Intelligent quantity-dependent regeneration:
When the unit is started, the available supply of softened water is pro-
grammed (depending on the hardness of the drinking water).
At a user-defined time (e.g. at night), the device checks whether the
remaining supply of softened water is sufficient for the following day. If
this is not the case, the softening column is regenerated to fully replenish
the supply of softened water to 100%.
No filtered softened water is made available during a regeneration process.
During regeneration, the water flows from bottom to top through the
filter bed. This loosens the filter medium and flushes out the impurities.
During regeneration, the device can be operated through the bypass
valve with unfiltered outlet water.
2.4
Operation
The screen and buttons are used for display and control purposes.
During start-up, the hardness of the local drinking water is entered into
the control system.
2.5
Stagnation management
If the capacity is not used up within 96 hours, the control unit triggers
a regeneration.
2.6
Safety
In the event of a power failure, the data and the time are retained
( approx. 1 year).
