On doors at risk of break-in: When installed on doors at risk of intrusion,
the profile cylinder must be protected with a VdS-approved class B or
C intrusion-resistant door escutcheon (with pull-out protection). Such
door escutcheons correspond to DIN 18257 Class ES 2 (-ZA) and/or ES 3
(-ZA), and/or DIN EN 1906 Protection Rating 3 and 4 (see table).
Particular care should be taken when managing a locking system:
Particular care must be taken when managing a master key system.
Particular attention must be paid to the correct assignment of persons to
the keys distributed. Lost keys must be electronically blocked immediately
or the mechanical cylinder in question replaced.
