Press "OK" briefly three times to set the threshold value of the light sensor.
The display now shows
Press "OK" again to save the current brightness level. The controller detects the current
brightness, and from now on closes or opens at the newly set brightness level.
After the setting has been made, the door opens or closes immediately.
If a light sensor is not connected, this error message appears in the display
The door should then close or open immediately.
8.4 Manual operation
8.4.1 Manual operation of the device:
Use the Up and Down buttons to open and close the door manually. Important: As soon as a manual operation is initiated, the device is in ma-
nual mode. Automatic operations are then no longer carried out.
Manual mode is indicated in the display by a dot at the bottom.
Automatic mode can be reactivated by pressing the Up button again while the door is
open, or the Down button while the door is closed. Automatic mode is indicated in the
display by a small circle at the top.
If the relevant function in the menu is active,
the controller then changes back independently to
automatic mode in the next day cycle (see Section 8.2.2). You can recognise the setting for
independent return
to automatic mode from the fact that, even when automatic
mode is interrupted, the circle is shown at the top of the display
in addition to the dot at the bottom of the display.
8.4.2 Manual operation via external button
The door can also be operated using an external button (e.g. item 70565). This is available as
an accessory. For this, position the button in a location of your choice, and connect it to the
device using the terminals provided for this purpose:
As soon as a manual operation is initiated, the device is in manual mode.
Automatic operations are then no longer carried out. Manual mode is indicated in the display
by a dot at the bottom.
It is not possible to activate the automatic mode again via the external button. This can be
performed only using the buttons on the display.
8.5 Integrated self-locking mechanism
The integrated self-locking mechanism in the controller housing prevents the door from
being opened unintentionally from the outside. If the door is raised by hand, a bolt in the rear of the housing blocks the slider, and the door can-
not be opened further. Predators are thus denied access to the coop.
When opened automatically or manually using the button, the bolt is retracted into the housing for a few seconds, so that the door can move
past. As soon as the door travels to the closed position, the bolt moves out of the housing and blocks the door again.
8.6 Switching the device off
To switch off the device, disconnect the connecting cable from the socket and remove the batteries.
