2.4 Commissioning
After installing the safety assembly, proceed as follows:

Open water supply pipe (floor shut-off valve or similar);

First remove cap then close shut-off valve (

Remove pressure gauge screw (

Re-open shut-off valve and test pressure
If the back pressure does not meet the required set value, change
it by turning the adjusting screw to + or -. Briefly draw off some
water as a test. If the pressure continues to rise, the control insert
is contaminated. Clean the control insert.

Venting the safety valve.
Remove cap from the top of the safety valve (2) then undo
rotary cap by turning anti-clockwise. Water should then drain
into the drain outlet.

Draw off hot water until the heater switches on.
During heat-up, expansion water must drip into the drain outlet;
which will cease when the water has reached its temperature. If
no water is expelled, check the function of the non-return valve.
If water continues to escape after heat-up:
»
Check top of safety valve for contamination.
»
Check inlet pressure. If pressure exceeds 0.5 MPa, use pressure
reducer (5).
»
Check the function of the installed pressure reducer, and/or
check seat and cone seal are clean. Entire control insert may
need replacing.

First remove cap then close shut-off valve (

Undo test screw but do not allow shut-off shaft to come
undone
Water must not drip from the hole. If water is escaping, the non-
return valve is contaminated or damaged. To remedy see point
3.2.1.
If cold water is escaping, briefly open shut-off valve by turning anti-
clockwise (to rinse off dirt), then close tightly. If water continues
to escape, check seal and seat in valve block.
