5.01 General
Your Electric Two has mechanical, electrical and software parts.
Always check your bike before you step on and periodically have your bike maintained. Do not use it if you are unsure whether or
not your Electric is in perfect condition. Contact Customer Care. If you use your Electric very frequently, it is vital to have all
essential components checked regularly. A part may suddenly malfunction if you use it beyond its lifespan or recommended
period of use. This may lead to falls and serious injuries.
Cleaning
Clean your bike regularly. Keep all components of the electrical system clean. Clean gently with a damp, soft cloth. The
components must not be immersed into water or cleaned with a water jet or steam jet. Contact your Customer Care if the
components are no longer functional. The battery contacts must never be connected, which creates a short circuit risk.
Components
As with all mechanical components, EPAC is subjected to wear and high stresses. Different materials and components may react to
wear or stress fatigue in different ways. If the design life of a component has been exceeded, it may suddenly fail, possibly causing
injuries to the rider. Any form of crack, scratches or change of colouring in highly stressed areas indicate that the life of the com-
ponent has been reached and it should be replaced.
Electric Components
The electrical system of your Electric is very powerful. Remove the battery immediately if you notice any damage to the electrical
system. After a fall or an accident, live electrical components may be exposed. If you have any questions or problems, please
contact Customer Care. A lack of expertise can lead to severe accidents.
Disconnect the electrical system and remove the battery before any work is performed on your Electric.
The battery contains protective components to avoid danger. Incorrect handling, such as improper disassembly, can destroy the
protective functions and lead to overheating, smoke and explosion.
Only perform operations described in this manual. Do not modify the electrical system. No modules may be disassembled or
opened. Replace defective or worn-out Electrical components, exclusively with original or approved spare parts from the
manufacturer. Otherwise, any guarantees and/or warranties from the manufacturer will be voided. If non-original or incorrect
spare parts are used, the electric may not function correctly. Improper operation of the drive system and changes made to the
motor may result in injury or costly damage. In such cases, the manufacturer declines any liability for the damage caused. Chang-
es to the motor or to the electrical system may result in criminal prosecution. For example, if the changes performed cause the
motor to reach speeds above 25 km/h. Modern Electric technology is high-tech. Working with it requires expert knowledge, ex-
perience, and specialized tools. Do not perform any work on your electric without approvement from Veloretti. Contact customer
care. The electrical system includes the following components: display, battery, drive unit, charger, sensors & controllers.
5.02 Everyday Maintenance
Damaged Components : Remove the battery immediately if you notice any damage to the electrical system. Check your electrical com-
ponents on any damage and exposed live electrical components. When this is the case, remove the battery immediately. If you have a
question or problem, please contact Customer Care. A lack of expertise can lead to serious accidents.
Loose Components :Make sure there are no loose parts on your bike. Tighten bolts accordingly when noticeable. Pay extra attention to
the saddle, front, and rear wheel bolts and tighten them accordingly. (See Chapter 6 for Newton chart).
Hydraulic Brakes : Braking power. There needs to be space for at least 1cm between your brake lever and the handlebar. Not the case?
Bleeding of the brakes is required. Do it yourself, or get help from your local professional bike shop. You can use normal mineral braking
oil if you need to refill the brake fluid. Squeaking braking sound? Your brake pads could be ready for replacement, or the brake disc needs
cleaning. Do it yourself, or get help from your local professional bike shop.
