2.08 Front Disc Brake
Step 1 : Check disc brake
alignment
We advise checking the front disc brake
alignment to ensure excellent brake
performance. Spin the wheel and listen. The
metal disc should not touch the disc brake
pads. Do you hear a grinding sound? Go to
step 2.
Not hearing a sound? Move to 2.09.
1 x Allen Key 5'
Don't touch the brake disc on the surface. Any grease on the brake disc can cause poor performance of your brake system.
Disk brakes can easily be cleaned with brake disc cleaner and some cloth.
2.09 Reflectors
1 x Allen Key 5'
Provided reflectors are compliant with NL road traffic regu-
lations. Always check specific road traffic regulations in your
country to be fully compliant.
Step 2 : Aligning disc brakes
Look for the brake calliper at the front fork endings. Loosen (don't unscrew) the two
bolts on the brake calliper with the Allen key 5'. Spin the wheel. Use the left brake on
the handlebar to brake hard, and don't release. Tighten the two bolts on the brake
calliper again, and the grinding sound should be gone.
Are you still hearing it? Open the two bolts again on the brake calliper and move the
calliper into the correct position by hand. Use your handlebar brake and eyesight to
see if the brake pads attached to the calliper touch the brake disc. You can tighten
the bolts when the braking disc is in the correct position.
Step 1 : Install front reflector
First, slide the reflector over the bracket. Then unscrew the bolt
that is positioned on the front of the front fork, with the Allen
key 5'. Use the bolt to attach the bracket with the reflector to the
front fork and tighten with your Allen key 5'
Step 2 : Install front reflector
First slide the reflector over the middle of the bracket, the
mounting bracket will be connected to the sliders of the saddle.
Put one hole over one slider and push it upwards so the other
hole clicks and puts it in the right place.
Step 3 : Install wheel reflector
The two white wheel reflectors should be attached to the spokes
of the front wheel and the rear wheel. Look for a wide enough
opening in the spokes, place the reflector, and ensure the
spokes are attached on both sides. Next, firmly push the reflec-
tor in the direction of the axle of the wheel. The reflector should
be firmly attached to the spokes.
