4.01 Ride your Electric Two
Your urban commute
The Electric Two is designed with urban commuting in mind. So you'll get the best bike experience through a city or town with paved
paths. They're not designed for extensive off-road riding but can handle light off-road use, such as gravel paths.
Riding an electric
The drive unit is activated as soon as you begin to pedal. The amount of assistance depends on the settings you have chosen. The drive
unit turns off when you stop pedalling or reach a speed of 25 km/h. The assistance is automatically reactivated when your speed falls
below 25 km/h, or you reapply pressure to the pedal. For the most efficient use of your electric motor, always select the optimal RPM, and
keep your pedalling rate between 60-90 RPM for optimal use of the battery capacity.
Personalise your riding mode
You can play around with the motor assistance levels and the Enviolo® shifting settings. With these settings, you can create your mode for
riding. Everybody has their own style. Do keep in mind that some settings ask for more battery power.
Weight distribution/load
This bike's weight distribution may differ from other bikes you have experienced. Keep this in mind when loading, storing or lifting the bike.
Also, consider your own weight.
Do not exceed the carrying capacity of your bike. 120kg - including the accessories, baggage and the rider.
Instructions
Make sure to read up on the following general instructions and the rest of the manual. In each chapter you will find specific instructions
and tips to give you the best experience and the safest ride.
Electric general instructions
General
• If you lend your electric to a third party, please also provide all operating instructions.
• Keep these operating instructions in a safe place for later reference.
• The A-weighted emission sound pressure level at the driver ears is less than 70 dB(A)
Bike Storage
• The Electric should be stored in a ventilated dry room. Avoid storing the Electric near strong magnetic objects and avoid
storing near heat sources.
For your safety
• Always apply the Electric's brakes first, before placing your foot on the pedal. The drive unit is activated as soon as you begin
to pedal. This force may be unfamiliar and can lead to falls, dangerous situations or even traffic accidents, which could result
in injury.
• Don't use the bike off-road. The bike is designed to be used on (paved) roads.
• Remove the battery of your Electric before transportation and transport it separately. Batteries are considered hazardous
materials. When using a transport company to transport your Electric, always discuss transport possibilities. Electric bikes
and their batteries have specific transportation instructions and specific insurances can be needed.
• Do not hang heavy bags or objects from your handlebars. This may reduce your ability to steer.
• Do not start pedalling until you are seated on the saddle and have a firm hold of the handlebars and brake levers.
• Wear appropriate protective equipment like a helmet. Avoid loose clothing or accessories which can become stuck in the
wheels or crank, causing an accident
• Always follow the applicable traffic regulations. Be aware that the regulations related to pedal-assisted e-bikes can vary in
different countries. Stay informed of changes to rules and traffic regulations wherever you ride the bike.
• Before using a bike trailer, check the product compatibility with the trailer's manufacturer.
• Before using a child seat, check the product compatibility with the child seat's manufacturer.
• If a child seat is mounted, please make sure kids cannot be trapped in the wheels or saddle springs.
• Before using a pannier rack, check the product compatibility with the child seat's manufacturer.
• Paying too much attention to the display screen while cycling may result in falls or lead to an accident.
