This connection is intended for the enclosed Bluetooth

PC USB

This USB input is suited for the connection with a PC/laptop computer to manage the functions of the
ESX DSP TOOLKIT software to set-up the DSP functions. The connection is USB 1.1/2.0/3.0 compat-
ible. For downloading the software please visit www.esxaudio.de/dsp.
OPTICAL IN

This input accepts PCM stereo signals up to a sampling rate of 192 kHz / 24 bit. Multi-channel signals
coming from audio/video sources (such as the audio tracks of DVD movie) can not be reproduced.
Connect a fiber optic cable with a TOSLINK connector.
REMOTE

This port is for the extension cable of the optionally available remote controller ESX RC-DQ.
LOW LEVEL INPUT

Slot for the included wire harness with 18-pin connector. Connect the wiring harness RCA input jacks
to the appropriate headunit preamp outputs using appropriate audio signal cables.
SUB OUT
There is also a mono RCA output socket for an external subwoofer amplifier on the included wire har-
ness. Depending on the DSP setting, this supplies a modified low-level audio signal.
HIGH LEVEL INPUT

Slot for the included wire harness with 16-pin connector. If your head unit does not have RCA pre-
amplifier outputs, you can use the high level inputs as signal inputs. To do this, connect the speaker
cables of the headunit to the corresponding cable ends of the wire harness connector.
To change the input sensitivity and input resistance of the high level inputs, please refer to sections
18 to 20 on page 28.
