ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
REM IN

Connect a turn-on signal or the turn-on remote signal of your head unit (REM) with the REM IN termi-
nal. Use therefor a suitable cable with a sufficient cross section (recommended Ø 0,5 mm
the device turns on or off with your head unit. If you use the AUTO TURN-ON function (refer to page
27, section 17), the REM IN terminal does not need to be connected.
REM OUT
If a turn-on signal cable is connected to REM IN or the AUTO TURN-ON function is used, a turn-on
signal cable can be connected to REM OUT to switch on other devices.
MODE PRESET SWITCH
The MODE connection is suited to switch between two presets of the DSP (Preset Auto Switch func-
tion). As soon as a ground signal (GND) is supplied at MODE, the device switches automatically from
Preset DEFAULT to Preset MODE or back again. This is useful, if you operate the device in a convert-
ible/cabriolet and connect the MODE terminal with the ground signal (GND) of the electric roof. The
devices is now switching between Preset DEFAULT (closed roof setup) and Preset MODE (open roof
setup).
EXT. FAN +12V
The EXT. FAN +12V connection allows you to control external fans to cool the amplifier if you install it
in an enclosed space or behind a cover with insufficient airflow.

To protect the amplifier, an external fuse must be installed no further than 30 cm from the device in the
+12 V power supply cable. Please note the information below.
ADDITIONAL CABLE FUSE (Not included)

Install an extra fuse for the power supply cable near the battery. The distance between fuse and bat-
tery should not be more than 30 cm. Please note the information below.
IMPORTANT: The fuse on the battery does not protect the amplifier, but rather the cable between the
battery and the amplifier against short circuits.
RECOMMENDED FUSE VALUES
We generally recommend the use of ANL fuses and high-quality fuse holders.
The following fuse ratings apply to both the device fuse and the power supply cable fuse:
