The control of the electrical heating must be adjusted so that during the heating-up time the boiling
temperature of the sealing liquid is never reached (slow heating up required).
Install the electrical heating so that a sufficient heat transfer is given between heating and pump. The
radiator must firmly rest against the pump body. During the operation, this must be checked regularly.
Any deformation of the electrical heating must be avoided.
Install the temperature sensor so that a sufficient heat transfer is given between sensor and pump.
Use thermal conductance paste.
When working at the electrical heating, it must be disconnected from power and protected against un
intentional restart.

Installation / Machine Specific Safety Instructions
The values specified in the pump data sheet (see information in Chapter 7.) refer to the mechanical
rigidity of the pump.
It therefore lies in the responsibility of the operating party to carry out appropriate tests with the used
pump media to determine the allowed operating values and to ensure that neither the media them
selves nor the medua-specific operating conditions may pose any risk to persons or equipment.
Pumped, heating and sealing media may be hazardous to health.
Wear appropriate protective clothing.
The ignition temperature of the discharging and sealing medium must be at least 50°C higher than the
pump's operating temperature.
It must be ensured that inflammable media may not drip onto areas where an ignition may occur. If
necessary, place a protective pan below the pump set. This pan must continuously be monitored for
leaking liquid.
The boiling temperature of the sealing liquid must lie at least 20°C above the set operating temperat
ure of the pump.
Be careful when filling in and draining hot materials hazardous to health in or from the sealing cham
ber.
Uncontrolled pump operation can lead to suction and delivery pressures that damage the pump or line
and endanger the personnel. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to monitor the suction and delivery
pressures. The allowed pressures can be derived from the pump data sheet (see information in
Chapter 7).
Pump components may be damaged or destroyed due to improper operation or incorrect handling of
the pump. Here, the drive shaft may be pushed out of the pump as long as the pump is pressurized.
In this case, hot liquid may be ejected.
Always depressurize the system before working on the pump or near it, removing protective covers,
dismounting the shaft/clutch between gear motor and pump, loosening the locking nut of length-ad
justable articulated shafts.
D
Danger!
Risk of burns from spurting hot liquids.
Wear protective clothing, especially a face screen.
Attach pressure monitoring facilities to the heating / cooling lines of pumps with liquid heating / cool
ing.
Pay attention to the allowed operating pressure and max. operating temperature of liquid heating and
cooling systems. The values are engraved in the heating/cooling jacket.
