Integrated field strength detector –
wireless receiver (flush-mounted)
Each Free-control wireless receiver (flush-
mounted) has an internal field strength
detector

This can be seen on the back of the wireless
receiver. With this, the radio link between the
wireless transmitter and the wireless receiver
can be evaluated during installation, mean-
ing the quality of the received transmission
signal at the wireless receiver.
As soon as a radio transmission signal is re-
ceived by the wireless receiver, the LED blinks
between 1 and 4 times.
The LED of the field strength detec-
tor blinks in programming mode as well as in
operating mode.
LED blinks 0x = no reception.
LED blinks 1x = bad reception.
• Recommendation: Be sure to change the
placement of the wireless transmitter
and/or wireless receiver to acquire a better
radio signal.
LED blinks 2x = fair reception.
• Recommendation: Check whether the
placement of the wireless transmitter
and/or wireless receiver can be changed to
acquire a better radio signal.
LED blinks 3x = good reception.
• Devices can be installed wherever desired.
LED blinks 4x = very good reception.
• Devices can be installed wherever desired.
