Operating Principle and Use of the Appliance
2. Operating Principle and Use of the Appliance
2.1 How the hob works
The heating coil hob has 4 cooking zones operated by wire heating
technology, whose available functions (see "Features and ... charac-
teristics") meet most culinary demands.
The appliance is self-sufficient, so it can be installed in your kitchen
independently of other appliances.
The power of each cooking zone can be adjusted in 9 steps
via the sensor control, guaranteeing the optimum temperature
setting for your food at all times.
Optimum heat utilisation, including residual heat, also reduces
energy consumption.
The heating process can be recognised directly by the red glow
of the cooking zone. However, pay attention to the respective
cooking zone display (for description, see "Control panel and display"),
especially the residual heat warning, even after switching off.
 Interval heating
Due to eco-design regulations and for safety reasons,
the hob heats at intervals.
The cooking zones switching on and off is normal
and does not indicate a product defect.
However, to avoid any problems, make sure
that your cookware is of good quality.
The cooking surface is made of high-quality SUPERKERAMIK®
glass ceramic.
This stands for quality and safety and is particularly easy to clean.
2.2 Possible operating noises
During and after operation of the hob, noises other than the
control panel beeps may occur, which are normal and do not signify
a product defect:
Clicking:
Electrical switching operation
Crackling:
Heating sound of cookware consisting of different
layers of metal.
