Automatic functions
• Overheating protection
To prevent damage to the appliance, a built-in temperature sensor
monitors the temperature inside the hob.
If the temperature is too high, the hob switches off automatically.
• Residual heat warning
If a cooking zone has been in operation for some time and is still
too hot to touch, this is signalled by an
cooking zone display, also when switched off.
When the surface has cooled down to a harmless temperature,
the icon disappears.
This can also be used as an energy-saving function:
If you want to heat more cookware,
use a zone whose residual heat display is still active.
• Auto shut-off
For your safety and e.g. to prevent forgetting to switch off cooking
zones, they switch off automatically after a set time:
