Sensitivity
The Nivector is factory-set so that it can be used for most
applications without any further adjustment. The
electronic switchpoint of the Nivector is set for materials
with a grain size ø < 10 mm and a dielectric constant
ε
≥ 1.6. assuming that the Protector mounting adapter is

being used with it.

a recalibration must be carried out by the user:
• Disconnect the power supply to the Nivector
• Dismantle the Nivector and remove the connecting cap
• Place the Nivector 6 mm from an electrically conductive
and grounded surface (vessel, metal sheet)

• Reconnect the Nivector to the power supply
• The MIN-MAX switch on the Nivector must be in the MIN

position and the LED must be lit. If the LED is not lit,

then turn the sensitivity potentiometer counterclockwise
until the LED lights up (see Fig. A A )
This decreases the sensitivity and means that the
switching distance at the tip of the Nivectors is reduced.
To act as the electrical switchpoint, the material must be
within this switching distance (see also Fig. 10).
• Slowly turn the potentiometer clockwise until the LED is

no longer lit (see Fig. B B )

This increases the switching distance.
• Turn back the potentiometer 3/4 of a turn
counterclockwise (see Fig. C C )
