8.3
Resistance to permeation by chemicals in accordance with EN 943-
2:2019
For European approval the tests against the concentrated chemicals listed below
took place by means of complete wetting/coverage of the test samples.
The classification for testing the resistance to permeation by chemicals
according to ISO 943-1:2015+A1:2019 is as follows:
Class 1
>10 minutes
Class 2
>30 minutes
Class 3
>60 minutes
Class 4
>120 minutes
Class 5
>240 minutes
1)
Class 6
>480 minutes
Testing according to section 5.2 of EN 943-2:2019 has shown that certain suit
configurations are not suitable for continuous contact with chemicals for which
only a permeation class of <2 has been achieved.
The components of the chemical protective suit must have been tested under
laboratory conditions against the chemicals listed below. The period of use for
the chemical protective suit may vary according to, for example, the
concentration and state of matter of the contaminant, as well as ambient
conditions. Further information is available from Dräger or
http://www.draeger.com/voice. You need to log on to be able to use the database.
