Kopflehre 401 auflegen; achten Sie dabei auf die Bandse-
lectoren.
Geratefunktion: Start [> , Kopfschlitten in Richtung Kopfiehre
bewegen.
Schieber A der Kopflehre zum Dummykopf LW 3.2 fllhren.
Kopfschraube p so drehen, daB sich die Unterkante des Schie-
bers A Uber die Unterkante der Bandfuhrungsgabel- -Dummy-
kopf schieben [aBt.
Vor Abnahme der Kopflehre 401 ist das Gerat in die Funktion:
Stop (Kopfschlitten in Ruhestellung) zu schalten.
Durch Umspulen der Bandlaufcassette einen a
la
Bandwickel erzeugen.

Beim Durchlauf der Bandlaufcassette darfdas Band nicht an
den oberen - oder unteren
Kantender Kopfgabeln der K6pfe
umknicken.
Eine Korrektur des peadaules ist méglich durch Verdrehen der
Kopfschraube p am Dummykopf LW 3.2.
Die Kopfspalt- Senkrechtstellung
(Azimut) des Wiedergabe-
kopfes ist im >Elektrischen Teil<, Pkt. 5 beschrieben.
11.2 Bandlaufeinstellung Laufwerk B
In beiden Bandlaufrichtungen
(Normallauf und Reverselauf)
muB sich die Unterkante des Fuhlhebels B leicht Uber die Unter-
kante des Aufnahme- Wiedergabe- L- Kopfes und die linken
und rechten Bandfiihrungen schieben lassen.
Vor Abnahme der Kopflehre 401 ist das Gerat in die Funktion:
Stop (Kopfschlitten in Ruhestellung) zu schalten.
Bandlaufcassette einlegen;

Beim Durchlauf der Bandlaufcassette darfdas Band nicht an
den oberen - oder unteren
Kanten der Kopfgabel und den
Bandftihrungen umknicken.
Danach ist die Kopfspalt- -Senkrechtstellung (Azimut) des AW-
L-Kopfes mit Hilfe einer Testbandcassette (z.B. GRUNDIG
Testbandcassette 448 A) in beiden Laufrichtungen zu prifen
und wenn
notwendig,
nachzujustieren,
siehe
>Elektrischer
Teil<, Pkt. 5.

Adjust height of tape guide by use of the gauge 401
Put on head gauge, take care of the tape selectors
Select function: Start >, push the head BuPpon in the direc-
tion of head gauge.
Move slider A of the head gauge to the aanny head LW 3.2.
The head screw p must be turned so that the lower edge of
the touch slider A moves
slightly over he lower edge of the
guide fork from the dummy head.
Before removing the head gauge 401
switch the recorder to
>Stop< mode (head support in idle position).
Before inserting the tape drive cassette
(for instance tape
drive cassette
MC 112 C), clean pressure roller LW 30, the
capstan LW 28;
reproduction
head LW 3.1 and the dummy
head LW 3.2 with methylated spirits.

Insert tape drive cassette
Wind tape to produce a recorder specific tape roll.
Select function: Start [>
The tape should not be bent on the upper or lower eee: of
the head forks during operation of the tape
drive cassette.
A correction of the tape drive is possible by turning the head
screw p on the dummy head LW 3.2.
The head gap vertical position (Azimuth) is described in the
>Electrical Section<, point 5.

- Select function: Start<j/[> , push the head Supe in the direc-
direction of head gauge.
In
both tape directions (normal and averse) it must be pos-
sible to move the lower edge of the sensing lever B slightly
over the lower edge of the record- playback- erase- head and
the left and right tape guides.
Before removing the head gauge 401 switch the recorder to
>Stop< mode (head support in idle position).
Before inserting the tape drive cassette
(for instance tape
drive cassette MC 112 C), clean pressure rollers LW 30,
LW 31, the capstans LW 28 and LW 29, reproduction head
LW 3.1 and the dummy head LW 3.2 with methylated Spirits.
Insert tape drive cassette

Select function: Start <J/[>

Afterwards check vertical: position of record- playback- erase
head (Azimuth, i.e. GRUNDIG
test tape cassette 448 A) accor-
ding to point 5 in the >Electrical section< in both running direc-
tions and if necessary re - adjust.
