Instructions for use
This machine is designed for sanding and polishing wood, dry filler, painted or varnished
surfaces. Make sure that the surfaces you plan to sand/polish are dry.
1. Make sure that the power switch (1) is set to 0 (off).
2. Slide the battery into the battery
connection (4) making sure that it
clicks securely into place.
3. Stand steady and balanced, holding
the sander in a firm grip.
4. Switch the sander on/off using
the power switch.
Changing sanding sheets
1. Remove the battery from the sander before changing the sanding sheet.
2. Peel the old sanding sheet off the sanding pad (3) and attach a new one.
Overload protection and other safety features
The sander/battery has a number of safety features that prevent damage to the sander
and battery during use.
•
A brief period of operation under high load may cause the overload protection to
turn the sander/battery off. This protection resets automatically. Set the power
switch to 0 and wait a few seconds, ensure that the sander is under no load and
then restart it. The sander should now function normally again.

During high-load for extended periods the overheating protection may switch
the sander/battery off. This feature is self-resetting but the sander cannot be
restarted until it has returned to normal operating temperature. Let the sander cool
before resuming work. Do not expose the sander to direct sunlight for prolonged
periods. Doing so could cause the overheating protection to trigger. The battery
has a deep discharge undervoltage protection which operates when the battery
becomes discharged.

The deep discharge protection turns the sander off automatically. The battery then
needs to be recharged.
Care and maintenance
Always remove the battery from the sander before performing any adjustment,
service or maintenance.
