9 Maintenance and cleaning
9.2 Replacing the filter elements
The xFUME FLEX is equipped with two filters for the filtration of welding fumes. The Pre-filter cleans the welding fumes from
large particles. Fine welding fume particles are then removed by the main filter.

1 Use the On/Off switch (4) to switch off the extraction system.
2 Pull out the mains plug (no Fig.).
3 Unlock the service door using the square wrench and open it (no Fig.).
4 Remove the pre-filter.
5 Remove the spring and filter pad.
6 Dispose of the filter pad according to the local regulations (no Fig.).
7 Insert new filter pad (no Fig.).
8 Insert spring (no Fig.).
9 Insert pre-filter into the xFUME FLEX (no Fig.).
10 Close the service door and lock using the square wrench (no Fig.).
