6.1 Transport / Storage
before installation
The delivery is to be tested for completeness
and integrity. If the delivery is incomplete, then
an inventory must take place immediately with
the transport company.
Any damage must be documented.
For storage, the explosion-protected main-,
load- and safety switches must be placed on a
C
clean dry flat surface.
This position should not be altered.
The explosion-protected main-, load- and safety
switches must be protected from adverse
weather conditions.
6.2 Montage
For the mounting and operation, the respective
national regulations as well as the general rules
of engineering will have to be observed
(IEC/EN 60079-14).
The explosion-protected main-, load- and safety
switches. can be mounted without opening the
enclosure.
The ingress of dust and moisture have to be
prevented.
The explosion-protected main-, load- and safety
switches must not be installed near heat
sources.
The correct position of the openings for power
supply access must be checked before
installation.
When mounting the explosion-protected main- ,
load- and safety switches directly onto the wall,
they shall rest evenly only on the fastening
points provided for them.
Use all attachment points to mount the

enclosure.
The chosen screw shall match the fastening
hole (see dimensional drawing) and it must not
damage the hole (e. g. use of a washer).
If the screws are overtightened, the apparatus
may be damaged.
The switches 25 A with platic enclosure are
suitable for fastening onto COOPER CROUSE-
HINDS / CEAG apparatus holders size 3 by
means of self-cutting screws (see fig. 2).
Observe the relevant operating instruction.
Observe the respective national regulations as
well as the general rules of engineering which
apply to the installation and operation of
electrical apparatus!
6.3 Opening explosion-protected
main-,load- and safety switches
Before opening the explosion-protected
main-,load- and safety switches, ensure that it
has been isolated from the voltage supply, or
take appropriate protective measures.
Before opening, set the switch to the „ON"
position.
6.4 Cable entries (KLE);
blanking plugs
Generally only certified cable entries and
blanking plugs may be used.
Trumpet-shaped cable glands or other suitable
entries with additional pull relief shall be used
for flexible cables.
The relevant mounting directives for the built-in
cables entries shall be observed.
When using cable entries with a degree of
protection that is lower than the IP protection of
the apparatus (see Technical Data), the degree
of IP protection for the complete unit is
reduced.
In order to ensure the minimum degree of
protection, any unused entry holes shall be seal
with certified blanking plugs.
When fitting cable entries, it is necessary to
ensure that the sealing inserts used are suitable
for the cable diameter.
In the case of sealing inserts that are cut to
size, it is necessary to ensure that the insert In
order to ensure the required minimum
protection category, the cable glands are to be
tightened down.
If fittings are overtightened, the protection class
may be compromised.
Attention: When tightening the cap nut of the
cable entry, the screwing is to be protected
against twisting by means of a suitable tool.
In order to establish the minimum protection
category, unused holes have to be closed with
a certified blanking plug.
6.4.1 „t" Dust (Zone 22)
It is to ensure that by, for example, use of
sufficiently dense cable glands, plugs and
