Note:
Try-In Screw is intended for laboratory use only. There
are two diff erent Gentek™ Hexalobular Titanium Try-In
Screws (Certain®) for laboratory (Try-in) settings: one
screw for single-unit restorations and one screw for
multi-unit restorations. Gentek™ Hexalobular Gold-
Tite® Screws are for fi nal prosthetic use and are not
intended for laboratory use.
Placing in a Laboratory Setting - Certain®
1. Select the proper Certain® TiBase by matching it to the implant
platform diameter.
2. Place t he proper Certain® TiBase into the analog in the model, line
up the hex and press fi rmly until hearing and feeling an audible
and tactile click.
OPTIONAL: If it is desired to cut the abutment down to one of the
abutment heights (4.5 mm, 6.5 mm, and 8.5 mm), a cutting tool
can be used to cut the abutment on the machined grooves.
3. Fully insert the hexalobular titanium Try-in Screw into the channel
of the TiBase, using the GenTek™ Hexlobe Screwdriver and hand-
tighten.

Placing in a Clinical Setting – Certain®
The corresponding Gentek™ Hexalobular Gold-Tite®
Note:
Screw is intended for fi nal prosthetic use only. There are two
diff erent Gentek™ Hexalobular Gold-Tite® Screws (Certain®)
for prosthetic settings: one screw for single-unit restorations
and one screw for multi-unit restorations.
1. Remove any provisional abutment, cover screw, healing abutment or
similar from the implant upon which the TiBase is intended to be placed.
2. Confi rm that the selected TiBase is the same size as the implant
platform diameter.
3. Ensure that the seating surface of the implant connection is clean, free of
residue, bone, or soft tissue and is dry when mounting.
4. Place the Certain® TiBase restoration onto the implant in the desired
orientation, line up the hex and press fi rmly until hearing and feeling an
audible and tactile click.
5. Once the TiBase restoration is seated into the implant, thread the
Hexalobular Gold-Tite Screw into the TiBase restoration, tighten the
TiBase restoration / screw assembly to its prosthetic torque using the
hexalobe screwdriver. Refer to the below table for placement torque
recommendations for Hexalobular Screws.
