The cylinder valve(s) must be readily accessible for hand opera琀椀on. A door on the enclosure to gain

access to the cylinder valves is acceptable, provided it is non-locking and can be opened without
the use of tools.
The enclosure for the LP-gas cylinder must isolate the cylinder from the burner compartment to
•
provide shielding from radia琀椀on, a 昀氀ame barrier, and protec琀椀on from foreign material, such as hot
drippings. The enclosure cannot be located directly below the grill.
There must be a minimum clearance of 51 mm between the 昀氀oor of the LP-gas cylinder enclosure

and the ground.
The enclosure must be designed so that the LP-gas cylinder can be connected, disconnected and
•
the connec琀椀ons inspected and tested outside the cylinder enclosure. Any connec琀椀ons that can
be disturbed when installing the cylinder in the enclosure must be accessible for tes琀椀ng inside the
enclosure.
BUILT IN NATURAL GAS HOOK-UP: The piping up to the gas grill is the responsibility of the installer and
piping should be located as shown in the built-in instruc琀椀ons. A 昀氀exible metal connector is included to
simplify the installa琀椀on of the unit. Connect this connector to the 昀氀are 昀椀琀�ng on the end of the manifold.
Connect the other end of the connector to the gas piping. Ensure that the connector does not pass
through a wall, 昀氀oor, ceiling or par琀椀琀椀on, and is protected from damage. Do not use a hose to connect the
unit. It must be connected with rigid pipe, copper tube or an approved 昀氀exible metal connector which
complies with na琀椀onal and regional codes. The installa琀椀on must comply with na琀椀onal and regional codes.
The gas supply pipe must be su昀케ciently sized to supply the kW input speci昀椀ed on the ra琀椀ng plate, based
on the length of the piping run. If installing a side burner, a separate line must be branched o昀昀 to the side
burner unit and enter the side burner opening at the speci昀椀ed loca琀椀on.
