Safe Opera琀椀ng Prac琀椀ces
This gas grill must be assembled exactly according to the instruc琀椀ons in the manual. If the grill was
•
store assembled, you must review the assembly instruc琀椀ons to con昀椀rm correct assembly and perform
the required leak tests before opera琀椀ng the grill.
Read the en琀椀re instruc琀椀on manual before opera琀椀ng the gas grill.

This gas grill must be used only outdoors in a well-ven琀椀lated space and must not be used inside a
•
building, garage, screened-in porch, gazebo or any other enclosed area.
This gas grill must not be installed in or on recrea琀椀onal vehicles and/or boats.
•
Do not locate unit in windy se琀�ngs. High winds adversely a昀昀ect the cooking performance of the gas
•
grill.
Under no circumstances should this gas grill be modi昀椀ed.
•
Do not operate unit under overhead combus琀椀ble construc琀椀on.
•
Maintain proper clearance to combus琀椀bles, 27" (685 mm) to rear of unit, 24 (610 mm) to sides).
•
Addi琀椀onal clearance is recommended near vinyl siding or panes of glass.
At all 琀椀mes keep the ven琀椀la琀椀on openings of the cylinder enclosure free and clear from debris.
•
Gas must be turned o昀昀 at the propane cylinder or at the natural gas supply valve when the gas grill is
•
not in use.
Keep children and pets away from hot grill, DO NOT allow children to climb inside cabinet.
•
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
•
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory
•
or mental capabili琀椀es, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruc琀椀on concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
If the enclosure is to house a propane cylinder, the tank por琀椀on of the enclosure must be ven琀椀lated
•
according to local codes and must not have communica琀椀on with the cavity used to enclose the gas
grill. A propane tank can not be stored below the gas grill.
Do not a琀琀empt to use a cylinder that is not equipped with a QCC1 type connec琀椀on.

When the propane cylinder is connected to the appliance, the gas grill and cylinder must be stored
outdoors in a well-ven琀椀lated space.
When the gas grill is to be stored indoors, the connec琀椀on between the propane cylinder and the gas
•
grill must be disconnected and the cylinder removed and stored outdoors in a well-ven琀椀lated space
out of reach of children. Disconnected cylinders must not be stored in a building, garage or any other
enclosed area. Natural gas units must be disconnected from the supply when being stored indoors.
Inspect the gas supply hose before each use. If there is evidence of excessive abrasion or wear or the
•
hose is cut, it must be replaced prior to using the gas grill with a replacement hose assembly speci昀椀ed
by the grill manufacturer.
Leak test the unit before ini琀椀al use, annually, and whenever any gas components are replaced.
•
Follow ligh琀椀ng instruc琀椀ons carefully when opera琀椀ng grill.
•
Burner controls must be o昀昀 when turning supply cylinder valve on.
•
The lid is to be closed during the gas grill prehea琀椀ng period.
•
Do not leave grill una琀琀ended when opera琀椀ng.
•
Do not light burners with lid closed.
•
Do not operate rear burner with main burners opera琀椀ng.
•
Do not move grill when hot or opera琀椀ng.
•
Keep any electrical supply cord and gas supply hose away from any heated surfaces.
•
Ensure sear plates are posi琀椀oned properly according to sear plate installa琀椀on instruc琀椀ons. The holes
•
must be towards the front of the gas grill (if applicable).
Clean grease tray and sear plates regularly to avoid build-up, which could lead to grease 昀椀res.
•
Remove warming rack before ligh琀椀ng rear burner. The extreme heat will damage the warming rack.
•
Inspect infrared burner venturi tube for spider webs and other obstruc琀椀ons periodically. Clean the
•
tubes completely if you 昀椀nd any such obstruc琀椀ons.
Do not allow cold water (rain, sprinkler, hose, etc.) to come in contact with ceramic burners. A large
•
temperature di昀昀eren琀椀al can cause cracking in the ceramic 琀椀le.
Do not use a pressure washer to clean any part of the unit.
•
The outdoor cooking gas grill and its individual shuto昀昀 valve must be disconnected from the gas
•
supply piping system during any pressure tes琀椀ng of that system at test pressures in excess of 0.5psi
(3.5kPa).
•
The outdoor cooking gas grill must be isolated from the gas supply piping system by closing its
individual manual shuto昀昀 valve during any pressure tes琀椀ng of the gas supply piping system at test
pressures equal to or less than 1/2 psi (3.5 kPa).
