Mounting instructions for plug at sensor end (14-pin ODU)

Short description:
The 1-CON-P1007 (14-pin, ODU, IP68) plug enables transducers/sensors to be connected to specific series
QuantumX modules built to offer IP67 protection. These instructions will help you integrate the cable and solder in the
stranded wire. Information on the pin assignment can be found in the operating manual. The specifications of each input
are described in the data sheet.
Recommended cable:
6-wire cable with 7.5 to 8 mm overall diameter
Wire cross section of max. 0.38 mm
(internal diameter of solder cups)
Scope of delivery
Mounting
1. Slide anti−buckling socket (not figured), back nut, collet, seal ring and EMI
ring over the cable (figure A).
Solder termination
2. Strip cable and wire (figure B).
3. Pre-tinning of strands recommended.
4. Solder each wire to the corresponding contact (figure C).
5. Bend cable shield outwards, assemble half shells.
6. Slide the EMI ring against the sleeve and clamp the shield between it.
7. Now, allowing for the guiding half shells, you can put the assembled cable
into the plug-housing.
8. Screw back nut on the plug and fasten with a wrench (width across flat 10).
Now the plug is assembled.
