With your fingers together, place your hands flat
on the workpiece and push the workpiece along
the parallel stop (7) against the saw blade (4).
Guide the workpiece at the side with your left
hand only as far as the front edge of the guard
hood.
Always push the workpiece through to the end of
the splitter (5).
Leave the off-cuts on the saw table (1) until the
saw blade (4) has stopped again.
Secure long workpieces against sagging at the
end of the cutting operation (e.g. with a roller
table etc.).
9.1.2 Cutting narrow workpieces (Fig. 18)
Longitudinal cuts in workpieces smaller than 120
mm in width must always be made with the help
of a push stick.
A push stick is supplied with your bench-
type circular saw.
Worn or damaged push sticks must be
replaced immediately.
9.1.3 Cutting extremely narrow workpieces,
for L 30 mm (Fig. 19)
Longitudinal cuts in extremely narrow
workpieces with a width of 30 mm and smaller
must always be made with the help of a push
block.
In these cases it is better to use the lower guide
surface of the parallel stop.
Your bench-type circular saw is not supplied with
a push block! (Ask your specialist dealer.)
Worn push blocks must be replaced without
delay.
9.1.4 Making covered cuts (Fig. 20)
The removable saw blade guard and the infinitely
adjustable cutting height from 0 to 76 mm mean that
the machine can be used to produce covered cuts
and grooves.
Remove the saw blade guard (2) (see 7.1).
Set the splitter (5) for making covered cuts (see
7.3.2).
Set the required cutting depth (8.2).
Fit the parallel stop (7) to the right of the saw
blade and set to the required width (see 8.3).
Push the workpiece against the saw blade (4),
making sure as you do so that the workpiece
rests firmly on the saw table (1).
Select the cutting sequence so that the cut strip
drops off on the left-hand side of the saw blade
in order to prevent it becoming jammed between
the stop and the saw blade (risk of kick-back).
Immediately after completing the cutting

operation, re-fit the saw blade guard (2).
9.1.5. Making bevel cuts (Fig. 21)
Always use the parallel stop (7) when cutting bevels.
Set the saw blade (4) to the required angle size
(see 8.5).
Set the parallel stop (7) to suit the width and
height of the workpiece.
Carry out the cut in accordance with the
workpiece width (see 9.1.2 and 9.1.3).
9.2 Making cross cuts (Fig. 22)
Push the cross stop (14) into one of the two slots
(a) of the saw table (1) and set to the required
angle size (see 8.4). If you also want to set the
saw blade (4) at an angle, use the slot which
prevents your hand and the cross stop coming
into contact with the saw blade.
Use the stop rail (25) if necessary.
Press the workpiece firmly against the cross stop
(14).
Switch on the saw.
Push the cross stop (14) and the workpiece
toward the saw blade in order to make the cut.
Important:
Always hold the guided part of the workpiece.
Never hold that part of the workpiece which is
being cut off.
Always push the cross stop (14) far enough
forward for the workpiece to be cut through
completely.
Switch off the saw again.
Wait for the saw blade to stop before you
remove the off-cuts.
10.0 Maintenance
Important: Pull out the power plug.
Remove dust and dirt regularly from the
