of use) to minimize the contrast between the
lamp's illumination and its surroundings.
It is advisable to start light therapy sessions as
soon as you feel a lack of light before the first
symptoms of the winter blues appear.
In prevention or treatment of winter blues, it is
preferable to practice the sessions in the
morning after waking up.
Do one session each morning per 3 week cycle
during the dark period. These figures are to be
adapted to each person according to the
results obtained after a few days of treatment.
Mode 1: Bluish white light option maximum
intensity: 30 min at 30 cm / 45 min at 50 - 70
cm
Mode 2: Light with predominantly blue option
maximum intensity: 45 min at 30 cm / 60 min
at 50 cm
Mode 3: Non-therapeutic white light option:
Non-therapeutic supplemental light
In general, all people wishing to compensate
for their lack of light (winter season, work in a
confined environment ...) by light therapy
should favor an exposure in the morning: We
recommend an exposure between 30 minutes
and one hour (see above depending on
distance) at the maximum intensity level. This
morning exposure, ideally just after waking up,
is also recommended for people late in the
phase (falling asleep too late and difficulty
emerging in the morning) and for people
preparing 2 to 3 days before a trip to the east
(crossing more than 3 time zones), the effects
of jet lag will thus be minimized.
Light therapy at the end of the day is reserved
for people working at night, people in early
phase (going to bed too early and getting up
too early in the morning) and people preparing
for a trip to the west (crossing more than 3
time zones ) to avoid jet lag syndrome.
After your daily light therapy session, you can
use your DAYVIA Mobilly lamp as a desk lamp
throughout the day.
