Installation
► The effectiveness of the AQA stop

The device can be installed either on a water
line with commercially available fittings or in a
HydroModul section using BWT accessories.
If the water meter is located in the same room,
then the AQA stop should be installed immediately
downstream of the water meter.
The device may be installed at any orientation,
provided the direction of flow (as indicated by the
arrow) is observed correctly.
After installation, check for leaks. The control elec-
tronics must not get wet.
Plug the power supply into a mains socket.
The operating indicator lights up in blue.

Operator responsibilities
The correct functioning of the AQA stop must be
verified and recorded at least every six months by
dipping the sensor into water.
The valve must close and the alarm buzzer must
sound.
Reset the alarm by drying off the sensor and briefly
unplugging the mains connection.

If the alarm sounds
Pull the mains plug and determine what caused
the fault.
Possible causes:
● The sensor is lying in water. Water damage.
Determine cause.
● Sensor short-circuited (e.g. by a piece of metal).
● Brief power outage.
Remedial action:
● Dry off the sensor and plug in the mains connec-
tion once more.
