3. Lift up the chain stop (I) and lock the
chain in the guides (J).

4. Bring down the chain stop at the link you
want to start with (K).
5. Release the lock knob (L) so that the arm
can be turned.
6. Turn the arm to the required angle on the
angle scale. There are two sizes of saw
chains, with different sharpening angles.
Check the instructions of the manufacturer
for information on the sharpening angle
for the actual saw chain.
7. Tighten the lock knob to the required
angle.
8. Bring down the arm so that the grinding
disc is just touching the edge.
9. Hold the arm in this position and tighten
the locking screw (M), so that the grinding
disc cannot be lowered more than to this
position.

10. The lower knob has a lock nut, which
controls how much material can be
removed. Tighten or release the lower
locking screw (N) and adjust the lock nut
(O), depending on how much to remove.
Fully tighten the lower screw when the
lock nut has been adjusted.

11. Lock the saw chain in the guides (P) by
turning the locking handle (Q). Position the
locking handle so that you can easily release
and tighten it each time the next link in the
chain is moved forward to sharpen.

12. If the chain has been sharpened several
times the rakers may need to be filed
with a flat file (sold separately). File all
the rakers so that they are lower than the
drive links.

SHARPENING
1. Wear protective gear and make sure there
are no other persons in the work area.
2. Plug in the plug and press the green
button on the power switch pad to start
the product.
3. Bring down the disc slowly. If the
alignment need adjusting, switch off
the product and pull out the plug before
adjusting.

4. Switch off the product when the drive link
has been sharpened.
5. Bring up the arm, release the locking
handle and move the chain so that the
next drive link is positioned at the chain
stop. Tighten the locking handle.
6. Start the product again and sharpen the
next drive link. Repeat until all the drive
links are sharpened to the set angle.
7. Switch off the product by pressing the red
button on the power switch pad and pull
out the plug.
8. Release the lock knob and adjust the
angle so that the first unsharpened drive
link is placed against the chain stop and
lock it.
9. Bring down the arm so that the grinding
disc is just touching the edge and lock it
in the same way as for the first part of the
chain. Follow the instructions above to
sharpen the rest of the drive links. Check
the settings and the attachment of the
chain before starting the product.
NOTE:
Correct sharpening take space with contact
between the disc and edge is light and
gradual. Do not sharpen each link for too
long.
