6.2 Special conditions (X marking)
The probes (rod and rope version) of the level radar Levelflex M type FMP 41C-....... have plastic surfaces, which can become
electrostatically charged.
For areas requiring instruments of category II 1 G, II 2 G or II 1 D, 2 D, the electrostatic limits have to be observed.

Measures:
Instruments with flange cladding (plastic) may be installed in areas requiring instruments of category II 1 G or II 2 G without
further protective measures, if charging of the flange cladding is prevented by the installation (e.g. no exposed plastic
surfaces or installation in metallic connection parts/nozzles).
No special measures are necessary in areas requiring instruments of category II 1 D or II 2 D, because dangerous
propagating brush discharge are not to be expected.

7.) The type of protection changes as follows when the transmitter is connected to certified intrinsically-safe circuits of
Category ib for Equipment Groups IIC and IIB: EEx ib IIC T6 and EEx ib IIB T6.
Do not operate the probe in Zone 0 if the transmitter is connected to an intrinsically-safe circuit of Category Ex ib
7.1 The pertinent guidelines must be observed when intrinsically-safe circuits are connected together acc. EN 60079-14 (Proof
of Intrinsic Safety) (e.g. when using the Commubox or DXR 275 handheld terminal or other certified apparatus).
7.2 For grounding the screen, see figure 5 and figure 6.
7.3 On installations requiring an overvoltage protector to comply with national regulations or standards (e.g. EN 60079-14), the
device FMP40 shall be installed using an overvoltage protector (e.g. HAW 262 Z, HAW 562 Z from Endress+Hauser).
