Health hazard!
Contaminated food can cause health
problems.
• If the door to the refrigerator is left
open for an extended time, the tem-
perature inside the appliance's com-
partments can rise significantly.
• Clean the surfaces that can come into
contact with food and all accessible
parts of the outlet system on a regular
basis.
• Store raw meat and fish in suitable
containers in the refrigerator that pre-
vent it from coming into contact with or
dripping on other food.
• Two-star freezer drawers are de-
signed for storing already-frozen food
and for storing or preparing ice cream
or ice cubes.
• One-, two- and three-star drawers are
not designed for freezing fresh food.
• If the fridge-freezer is empty for an ex-
tended time, switch off the appliance,
let it thaw, clean it, and leave the door
open to prevent mould from growing.
Health hazard!
Incorrect handling, insufficient cool-
ing or overlapping items can spoil the
stored food. This could lead to a risk of
food poisoning when consumed!
• In particular, pack raw meat and fish
carefully to ensure that adjacent food
cannot be contaminated by salmonel-
la or similar bacteria.
• Abide by the storage times recom-
mended by food manufacturers.
• Note that the shelf life of the frozen
food may be shortened due to a rise in
the temperature inside the appliance
(from defrosting, cleaning or power
failure).

5 minutes for your safety ...
• Remove the stored frozen food from
the appliance – even when only switch-
ing off the appliance temporarily – and
store it in a sufficiently cool place or in
another refrigerating appliance.
• Consume thawed and defrosted foods
immediately, do not refreeze.
• After a possible power failure, check
whether the stored foodstuffs are still
edible.
• Use only drinking water to make ice
cubes.
The appliance may not operate properly
if exposed to low ambient temperatures
for extended periods of time. This can
then lead to an increase in temperature
inside the appliance.
• Observe the specified ambient tem-
perature (see "climate category" line
on
page
EN-29).
Risk of injury from frozen goods!
Improper handling of the appliance may
result in injury. There is a risk of burns
caused by low temperatures.
• The food and the inside walls of the
freezer have a very low temperature.
Never touch them with wet hands.
This can cause injury to the skin. Skin
damage can occur even with dry skin.
• Do not put ice cubes or ice cream
straight into your mouth from the
freezer.
