sturdy shoes and well-fitting
gloves when working with the
device. Do not work barefoot.
Do not wear any jewellery, san-
dals or short trousers.
ATTENTION ● The device oper-
ator is responsible for accidents
with other people and their prop-
erty.
Note ● Regulations may restrict
the use of this device in some
regions. Seek advice from your
local authorities. ● Have dam-
aged or illegible warning signs
on the device replaced by the
authorised Customer Service
department.

Safe operation

DANGER ● Operation in ex-
plosive atmospheres is prohibit-
ed.
WARNING ● Maintain a mini-
mum distance of 15 m from per-
sons and animals. Stop the
device when any persons or an-
imals enter this area. ● Do not
use the device if there is a dan-
ger of lightning. ● You need an
unobstructed view of the work
area in order to be able to recog-
nise any potential dangers. Use
the device only under good light-
ing conditions. ● Do not run but
rather walk when working with
the device. Do not walk back-
wards. Avoid an abnormal pos-

ture, keep a stable, safe footing
and maintain your balance.
● Immediately stop the device
and check for damage or identify
the cause of the vibration if the
device has been dropped, hit or
vibrates abnormally. Have dam-
age repaired by the authorised
Customer Service or replace the
device. ● Switch off the device in
the case of a malfunction or ac-
cident, and remove the battery
pack. You may only start up the
device again if it has been
checked by an authorized cus-
tomer service centre. ● The
backpack blower is supplied
with a harness. Carefully adjust
the harness to comfortably help
to support the weight of the
product. Identify the quick-re-
lease mechanism and practise
using it before you start using
the device. Its correct use may
prevent serious injury in the
case of an emergency. Never
wear additional clothing over the
harness or otherwise restrict ac-
cess to the quick-release mech-
anism. ● Risk of injury on
rotating parts. Switch the motor
off, remove the battery pack and
make sure that all moving parts
have stopped moving:
 Before leaving the device un-
attended.
 Before you check the device
after it has been hit by a for-
eign object.
