Electrical connection procedure:

1.
Connect the type SPC positioner according to the tables.

The connection for fieldbus is made via a circular connector M12, 4-pin D-coded.

To connect the technical ground, there is a grub screw with nut on the electrical connection housing. Connect the grub screw to
a suitable grounding point. To ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), make sure that the cable is as short as possible (max.
30 cm, Ø 1.5 mm
).

After applying the operating voltage, the SPC positioner type is in operation.

Now make the required basic settings and adjustments for the positioner/process controller. See chapter "Putting into operati-
on".

The bus status is indicated via the display on the device.

BUS.COMM – Settings on the SPC type
Set the following menu items in the BUS.COMM menu for putting into operation the EtherNet variant:

Explanation
Device is properly connected to the bus, the
network access procedure was completed
without errors. However, there is no established
connection to the Master.
Other device with the same address in the
network. BUS offline as a result of communica-
tion problems.
Explanation
Activate or deactivate approach to safety position
off
The actuator stops in the position corresponding to the last transmitted setpoint value
(default setting).
on
The behavior of the drive in the event of an error in bus communication depends on the activation
of the additional SAFEPOS function.
See operating instructions in chapter "SAFEPOS – Entering the safety position".
Enabled
The actuator moves to the safety position specified in the SAFEPOS additional function.
Disabled
The actuator moves to the safety end position which it would assume in the event of failure of the
electrical and pneumatic auxiliary power.

pneumatic auxiliary power"
