3. Insert the portafilter into the device (see the "Preparation" chapter – "Inserting the Porta-
filter into the Device").
4. Place a cup under the portafilter.
5. Press and hold the button
3 seconds to switch to setting mode. Only the corresponding control lamp lights up.
The other control lamps go out.
6. Press the corresponding button again. The device starts to dispense water. The corre-
sponding control lamp of the button flashes while this is happening.
7. Press the corresponding button one more time once the quantity of water you want
has been dispensed. Water stops being dispensed. This quantity of water is then saved.
All control lamps light up again.
Preparation
Inserting / Removing the Drip Tray
The device is supplied with a drip tray (10) because espresso may drip from the portafilter (9)
after the cup has been removed.
1. Insert the drip tray into the bottom of the device. Make sure that it fits correctly in the
device.
2. Place the storage plate (11) on the drip tray.
3. To remove the drip tray, lift it up and out.

Filling the Water Tank

PLEASE NOTE!
• Do not pour milk or other liquids into the water tank. Only ever use water!
1. Take the water tank (15) off the device by pulling it upwards.
2. Open the water tank lid.
3. Pour water into the water tank. Make sure that you fill it at least up to the MIN marking
and no higher than the MAX marking.
4. Close the water tank lid.
5. Insert the water tank into the device by sliding it into the device from above. Make sure that
the locking lugs of the water tank sit in the recesses which are provided for them on the
device. You must feel it engage.
