■ The cooking process has to be super-
vised. A short term cooking process
has to be supervised continuously.
■ Use only hob guards designed by the
manufacturer of the cooking appli-
ance or indicated by the manufactur-
er of the appliance in the instructions
for use as suitable or hob guards in-
corporated in the appliance. The use
of inappropriate guards can cause
accidents.
■ Always switch the hob off completely
after cooking.
Risk of injury!
This hob has sharp edges. Improper
handling can result in cut injuries.
■ Wear protective gloves when unpack-
ing and installing the hob.
Health hazard for persons with a pace-
maker!
An electromagnetic field is generated in
the immediate vicinity of the hob when
it is switched on. However, it is unlikely
to affect the pacemaker.
■ Discuss the use of an induction hob
with your doctor in advance.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper use may damage the appli-
ance or cooking utensils.
■ Wipe the glass ceramic surface and
the base of the pots before use to
remove any dirt that may cause
scratches.
■ Do not push heavy pans across the
hob; this may scratch the glass ce-
ramic.
Safety notices
■ Do not use any aluminium foil or plas-
tic containers to cook on the cooking
zones, as they can melt.
■ Never use the hob as a work surface
or somewhere to place objects. Oth-
erwise, materials sensitive to heat,
such as plastic dishes, could become
damaged.
■ Immediately remove sugary or
starchy food particles and residues of
plastics or aluminium foil. Otherwise,
these may cause permanent and ir-
reparable damage to the hob.
■ Clean and maintain the hob regu-
larly with a special care product con-
taining a special impregnating oil for
hobs. Such products can be found in
specialist shops.
■ Do not use any harsh abrasive deter-
gents, scouring agents, abrasive pow-
der or steel sponges; they can scratch
the surface and damage the glass.
■ Do not place any magnetisable ob-
jects (such as credit cards) near or on
the hob, as they may be damaged by
the electromagnetic field.
