Commissioning
Level the scale by turning the foot screws.

The air bubble of the spirit level must be exactly
in the centre of the circle.
Note: On compact, table-top and tripod scales, the
level indicator is located under the removable bonnet. .
For exhibition venues in Germany, this is fulfilled if the floors comply with the tolerance specifications
for floors ready for floor covering according to DIN 18202, Table 3, line 4. For other countries, the
respective applicable national standards can be used as a basis.
Stand up terminal or mount on wall with optional bracket.

6.2 Power supply
Power is supplied as standard via the mains adapter, batteries or an optional factory-integrated battery
pack.
When using type AA rechargeable batteries, the threshold value for the battery symbol must be adjusted
in the UCAL to obtain a correct charge level display (see separate description Terminal 3800:
470.702.136, Terminal 3810: 470.702.134User mode UCAL 4 pos. 18).
Attention: The flap of the battery compartment must not be opened when the power supply is present!
6.2.1 Battery replacement
Switch off the scale or the terminal.
Open the flap of the battery compartment and remove it. Remove the empty batteries and dispose of
them or charge rechargeable batteries in an external charger.
Insert new batteries or the charged rechargeable batteries into the battery compartment and slide it
back into the terminal. Close the flap of the battery compartment again.
6.2.2 Charging the factory-integrated battery pack
When charging for the first time, leave the scale connected to the mains for at least 7 hours and 45
minutes so that the battery is fully charged.
Plug the mains adapter into the connection socket on the front of the terminal (see page 32).
Plug the mains adapter into a socket. When doing so, please ensure that the socket is freely accessible.
