Safety instructions
Causes of damage
!
and functional impairment
• Make sure that all packaging materials and transport locks
have been removed from the appliance, especially from the
cooking chamber, before switching on the appliance.
• Do not install the appliance in an environment with high
temperatures, near a gas cooker or a paraffin cooker.
• The surfaces and materials in the immediate vicinity of the
appliance (e.g. furniture fronts) must be heat-resistant up
to 120°C to prevent damage from heat escaping from the
appliance when it is opened.
If possible, only allow the appliance to cool down after
operating at high temperatures with the door closed, do
not clamp anything in the appliance door and only open
it for drying if a lot of moisture has been produced during
operation of the oven.
• Do not cover the cooking chamber bottom with foil, baking
paper or accessories and do not place dishes on the coo-
king chamber bottom when a temperature of over
50 ºC is set. This will cause heat to build up and damage
the enamel.
• Make sure that aluminium foil in the cooking chamber does
not come into contact with the door glass. This can lead to
permanent discolouration of the door glass.
• Do not use silicone moulds, mats, covers or accessories
that contain silicone. This may damage the oven sensor.
• Always keep the seal clean. If the seal is heavily soiled,
the appliance door will no longer close properly during
operation, which may damage the fronts of neighbouring
furniture or appliances.
• Over a longer period of time, moisture in the baking cham-
ber can lead to corrosion.
Allow the appliance to dry after use.
Do not store moist food in the closed oven for a long period
of time. Do not store food in the oven cavity.
• Always keep your oven clean.
Food residues can damage the oven surfaces over time.
• Avoid sugary stains, such as fruit juice in the cooking cham-
ber, as they may not be removed after cooling.
When preparing very moist food, such as fruit cake, do not
cover the baking tray too generously and use a deep baking
tray.
• To avoid damaging the appliance door, do not put any
weight on it. For example, do not place any cooking uten-
sils or accessories on it and do not hang anything on it.
• Scratches in the glass of the appliance door can develop
into a crack or even break. Do not use glass scrapers, sharp
or abrasive cleaning agents or aids.
• To ensure safe handling and avoid damage, always push
the accessories the right way round (if applicable) and all
the way into the cooking chamber.
• Do not carry or hold the appliance by the door handle.
The door handle cannot support the weight of the appli-
ance and could break.
