4 Commissioning
4.1 Connecting the device
•
Unpack the dispensing controller and set it up on a
EN
worktable where it will be used Preferably in a dry location
•
Supply the valve controller with compressed air
Insure that the compressed air supply (5-micron filter must be
used) is dry Condensation in the airline will damage the unit
and limit the warranty
•
Using the airline hose supplied with the unit, connect the
compressed air inlet on the back of the controller to your
compressed air supply
•
Connect the power cable to the power connection on back of
the unit
•
The unit can be operated either by finger switch (sold
separately), foot switch or a control cable, if the dispensing
controller is to be integrated with a dispensing robot All these
cables are inserted into the socket for the foot switch on the
back of the unit
•
Connect the control air outlet (VALVE) to your dispensing valve
using a compressed air hose Then connect the compressed air
outlet (RESERVOIR) to your dispensing material, e g a cartridge
•
Switch on the controller The display shows the initialisation
and the installed software version After 5 seconds, the display
switches automatically to the main screen and the device is
ready for operation
•
Check the pressure input (e g P-IN: 3 6 bar) in the display to be
sure, that the air input pressure is connected
•
Set the optimum pressure on the dispensing material with the
pressure regulator on the front of the unit by testing
