MF-100 MOISTURE METER
Item No. 2633257
1. INTENDED USE
This non-invasive digital moisture meter is ideal for measuring moisture content in concrete,
wood and other building materials. This helps to check if the surface is ready for painting or
covering. Large surface areas can also be quickly and effectively measured by using the alert
function. The user can concentrate on the measured object without having to constantly read
the measurement values on the display. The device produces a beeping noise if the moisture
level exceeds the threshold value.
This device features a wide measuring range, with a penetration depth of about 20 - 40 mm.
It has min / max display and a low battery indicator. The device is powered by three AAA
batteries.
The product complies with the statutory national and European requirements. For safety and
approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify the product.
Read the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product

4. Replace batteries when the low battery indicator (9) illuminates on the LCD panel.
7. OPERATION
General information before measurement
1. The moisture level is an average value, which is influenced by the moisture at the exterior
surface and the interior core of the material. If there is visible surface moisture or water,
wipe off any excess and let dry for a couple of minutes before measuring.
2. Other elements may also affect the reading. Before measurement, the measuring surface
must be cleaned of any residual paint, dust, etc.
3. Hold the meter as far back as possible to avoid moisture influence from your hand.
4. The meter is not designed to measure metal or other materials which are strong conductors.
If embedded metal (e.g. nails, screws, cables, pipes) is within the measuring field of the
sensor, the readings will increase significantly.
5. If the spherical head is placed at a wall corner, the reading may be higher as two or three
surfaces are within measuring distance. To avoid interference, maintain a minimum distance
of 8 to 10 cm from other surfaces.
6. Place the spherical head on smooth surfaces. Rough surfaces will cause inaccurate
readings.
