A rapid discharge circuit is built into the unit. Using an internal load, this
decreases the output voltage to 1% of output voltage U
second during unit shutdown phase.

The ARC detection system contains a du/dt detector for identifying output voltage
flashovers. A signal indicating the occurrence of a flashover is sent to the analog
interface via a potential-free contact.
(Flashover detected ≡ Contact (pin 14/15) closed during 4 seconds).
ARC detection is triggered under the following conditions:
du ≥ 10% U
(change in output voltage or spike pulses)

N O T E
ARC detection may be triggered under load conditions when the high
voltage power supply is shut down using the HV button.

(LED 'Ramp Control Active' glows), the control system
regulates the controlled rise or drop of the output voltage
of the power supply unit each time the reference value is
changed (triggered f.i. by adjusting the reference value
