15. Troubleshooting

By purchasing this device, you have acquired a product designed to the state of the art and operationally
reliable. Nevertheless, problems or errors may occur.
The following contains descriptions for the removal of possible interferences.
Always observe the safety information.
No WLAN reception:
• Check if the WLAN aerial is properly screwed on to the back of the Internet radio.
• Put the WLAN aerial into a different position. Do not point the tip of the aerial at your WLAN router
or WLAN access point, since this will reduce range. Instead, the aerials should be in parallel to each
other.
• If required, move the Internet radio. If the Internet radio is used, e.g. in a HiFi-rack made of metal, good
WLAN reception cannot be expected there.
• Set up your WLAN router or WLAN access point elsewhere.
• Check if the WLAN of your router or access point is switched on and whether the SSID is visible. An
activated MAC address filter may prevent registration.
• If you have specifically configured your network (e.g. fixed IP addresses, etc.), the setup wizard cannot
establish any WLAN connection. Instead, you have to manually configure the network connection; see
chapter 14 e). This requires knowledge in handling of networks.
Internet radio station can temporarily not be reached or there are audible interferences:
• The Internet radio station is overloaded, too many users want to access the station.
• The WLAN connection is too slow.
No sound is audible:
• A device of the playback chain is not activated (e.g. amplifier).
• The wrong input has been chosen at the amplifier or the cables are connected incorrectly.
• The volume controller at the amplifier is set to minimum.
• Muting is activated at the amplifier (mute).
MP3 files from the USB data carrier are not played:
• The MP3 file does not correspond to the standard.
• The bit rate of the MP3 file is too high or too low.
• The file name of the MP3 file cannot be read (special characters).
• The USB data carrier is not in FAT32 format.
