13. Basic Functions

Only take the device into operation after familiarising yourself with its functions and these opera-
ting instructions.
Check all the connections again.
a) Switching On/Off, Standby
• Briefly push the button „ON/OFF" (A) on the front of the Internet radio or the button „ " (1) on the IR
remote control to switch the Internet radio on or off.
In the deactivated condition, the standby LED (B) will light up.
b) General Operation
• By turning the setting wheel „CONTROL" (O) to the left or right, functions can be selected or settings/
values can be changed.
If you push the setting wheel like a conventional button, this confirms a selection or a setting.
If using the IR-remote control, the arrows (3, 14) are used to control (left/right or up/down) and the
button „ " (2) is used to confirm.
• The button „BACK" (M) will take you a step back in many functions or settings. On the IR remote control,
the button „ < " must be used for this (not possible in all operating functions).
• The button „MENU" on the Internet radio (L) or the IR remote control (13) returns the Internet radio to the
respective start of the currently active submenu.
• The button „MODE" on the Internet radio (J) or the IR remote control (6) is used to switch between the
Internet radio, FM radio and USB/shared media music player.

c) Setup Wizard at Initial Commissioning

• The setup wizard starts at initial commissioning of the Internet radio.
The setup wizard starts up automatically if the Internetradio is connected to the mains voltage
and then activated again for the first time.
All data required for operation are displayed in sequence:
- Time format (12h/24h)
- Automatic or manual setting of date and time (automatic setting via the Internet or manual
input of via the setting menu)
- Time zone (only if automatic setting of date/time was activated)
- Automatic switching between summer and winter time
- WLAN-network
- WLAN-password
