d) Digital Audio Output
For a digital audio transmission, there is an optical and a coaxial output socket at the back of the Internet
radio.
„OPTICAL OUT" (Q): Audio transmission by optical fibre
„COAXIAL OUT" (R): Audio transmission by electrical connection
Connect the corresponding socket of the Internet radio to the respective input of your amplifier using a
suitable cable.
e) Mains Connection
Before plugging in the mains plug, ensure that the device voltage indicated on the device corres-
ponds to the available mains voltage. Do not connect the device if the indication does not corre-
spond to the available mains voltage. The wrong supply voltage will cause serious damage.
Be careful when handling mains cables and mains connections. Mains voltage may cause poten-
tially fatal electric shock.
The mains socket to which the device is connected must be easily accessible so that it can be
quickly separated from the voltage/current supply in case of an error.
The Internet radio and all connected devices must be switched off when the mains voltage is
connected.
Make sure that no cables lie around openly. Install cables professionally to prevent accidents.
Make sure that all electrical connections and connection cables between the different devices
and any extension cables comply with the regulations and the operating instructions. If an exten-
sion line is used, ensure that it is designed for the respective load.
• Plug the mains plug of the Internet radio into a proper mains socket of the public mains.
• The backlighting of the LC display (H) lights up and a welcome message appears in the dialogue. After a
few seconds, the standby LED (B) lights up red and the display lighting goes out.
The Internet radio is now in standby mode.
f) Headphones Output
There is a headphones socket „PHONES" (C) on the front of the Internet radio. Connect suitable stereo
headphones here.
